THE MARSH FLOOR MIRROR PLAYS WITH ELEMENTS THAT ARE RECURRENT IN BETH WEBB’S BODY OF WORK-- TEXTURE TENSION AND SERENE TONES. THE SCALE OF THIS FULL-LENGTH CARVED WOOD MIRROR WHICH WAS INSPIRED BY A CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN WOODWORKER CARRIES GRAVITAS AS THOUGH IT IS A PIECE OF SCULPTURE IN ITSELF. THE DEEPLY GROOVED PATTERNS IN THE WOOD JUXTAPOSE THE SLICK MIRROR. SUITABLE FOR HANGING OR LEANING ON A WALL IT COULD EQUALLY BE HINGED AND TRANSFORMED INTO A FOLDING SCREEN.
